USA Overnight transatlantic flight to Madrid. |

Madrid On arrival, you will be met at the airport & transferred to
your hotel. Then a chance to unwind & relax before exploring the lively
Spanish capital. |

Madrid - Toledo - Granada After breakfast we drive to ancient Toledo.
Here a local guide shows us the capital of Castile, with its Cathedral
& ancient synagogue. Then on through Andalusia to the Moorish hilltop
town of Granada, with spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Maybe take a trip to visit the Alhambra Palace. |

Granada
- Costa Del Sol (Mijas) We enjoy an orientation tour of Granada, before
continuing to the pretty Andalusian village of Mijas, in the hills
of the Costa del Sol. |

Costa del Sol (Mijas) - Fez Our day begins with a scenic coastal drive
to Algeciras for the ferry to North Africa. Then we drive into a different
world as we enter Morocco, passing the Rif Mountains to the Imperial
city of Fez for our two night stay in Africa! |

Fez
sightseeing & at leisure Our morning sightseeing includes the Royal
Palace and the labrynthine Medina. We enjoy the atmosphere of this
exotic city with time to haggle over beautiful Moroccan carpets -
an everlasting souvenir! |

- Marrakesh This morning a breathtaking drive takes us through the
foothills of the Atlas Mountains to the city of Marrakesh, Africa's
most popular year round sun resort. It was once the favorite holiday
spot of Winston Churchill, a haven where he used to relax and paint. |

Marrakesh sightseeing Our morning sightseeing includes the Bahia Palace
& the vast Djemma el F'na Square with its palm readers, acrobats,
camels and more! Then free time for bargain hunting in the many souks
& bazaars or perhaps take an excursion to a Berber village in the
Ourika Valley. |

Marrakesh - Casablanca Today on to Casablanca, scene of Bogart's most
magical moments. We find some of North Africa's best beaches here.
Then we visit the Casbah, explore this maze of twisted streets & alleys,
with its stalls of spices, beaten brass & famous Moroccan leather. |

Casablanca - Tangier This morning we drive along the Atlantic Coast
to Rabat, capital of this fascinating country, where we see the Mausoleum
on orientation. Then on to Tangier, where orientation shows us the
Cape Spartel, the point where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean.

Tangier
- Seville today we take a ferry to Algeciras. Crossing the Straits
of Gilbraltar, we enjoy views of the famous Rock, before driving thru
Jerez vineyards, home of sherry. Next, we make our way to Andalusia's
most beautiful city, Seville, for two nights. |

This romantic city was deeply influenced by the Moors, hence the architecture
of Giralda Tower, included on our sightseeing tour along with the
pools & fountains of the Maria Luisa Park. |

Seville
- Lisbon We drive through the arid country of Estremadura to the Portuguese
border. On via Setubal to the capitol of Portugal, Lisbon. |

Lisbon
Our morning sightseeing shows us Vasco da Gama's Tomb inside the Hieronymite
Monastery, the medieval quarter of the city views of the Belem Tower.

- Salamanca Today we enjoy a scenic morning drive through the Serra
d'Aire Mountains en route to the Shrine of Fatima, scene of celebrated
religious miracles. Then we cross the border back into Spain en route
to Salamaca for dinner with our overnight stay. |

Salamanca
- Madrid Magmificent but arid countryside glides past our coach windows
as we travel to Avila, birthplace of St. Teresa to see the mighty
fortifications. On past the Sierra de Guadarrama as we return to Madrid
where we enjoy a sightseeing tour including the Royal Palace, Puerta
de Sol & the Cervantes Memorial. |

Madrid
- USA After breakfast, you are transferred to the airport for your
return flight home. |
